Food and Clothing Donations
You are welcome to bring donations of food, gently used clean clothing and shoes, and hygiene items during open hours at the Food Bank. We are currently open from 12 pm - 3 pm on Tuesdays.
We especially appreciate donations of non-perishables, such as peanut butter, dry pasta, soups, canned fruit and vegetables, beans, rice, and other staples.
For clothing, we especially need men’s work clothes (jeans and work shirts—not business clothes), practical shoes for men and women, jeans/leggings for women, and clothes and shoes for children, especially school-age kids. We need children’s toys and stuffed animals, as well as sheets, blankets, and towels.
If you can’t make it on a Tuesday with your donation, contact us and we’ll arrange a pick up.
We Count On You!
The North County Food Bank depends on donations from our community for our operations. We are especially grateful for the fresh produce we receive from Alder Creek Farm’s community gardens and through community food drives by EVC, 1st Security Bank, and others. Although we receive some free or deeply discounted food from the Oregon Food Bank, we purchase most of the food that we distribute though our programs from local stores. We also distribute pet food, diapers for children and adults, and hygiene items such as toothpaste, soap, and toilet paper.
Here are the programs your donations support:
Tuesday weekly food/pet food distribution
Thanksgiving turkeys with all the trimmings
Free clothing at the Clothing Bank
The Friday Food Bag program at Neah-kah-Nie High School/Middle School
The Little Free Pantries in Nehalem and Manzanita
